Formed in 2001, Thannesans Inc. is involved in a number of business activities. Its primary office is located in Edmonton, Alberta. The owners’ two professionally skilled immigrants immigrated to Canada from London, England in 1998.
Selladurai Premakumaran (Premm) an accountant and lecturer in the field of Accounting and Finance and Nesamalar (Nesa) Premakumaran an administrative officer with the British government expected to work in their respective fields once they met Canadian professional standards.
However, even after meeting Canadian Professional Standards they found that their qualifications, experience and skills from England that was recognized internationally in several countries were claimed worthless to many Canadian employers who prefer to exploit these skills to their own benefit.
They did a variety of survival jobs and in their struggle in Canada, gained numerous experiences as a student, employee and business owners. Today, apart from their original skills, education and experience in the Financial, Administration, Management and Legal fields they also look upon their experiences gained from their various survival menial jobs -- from the cleaning industry to being a landlord, from an employee to a sub-contractor, and now as business owners as educational and a stepping stone towards building their own business.
Today, their shoulders that carried all these experiences has become a useful tool to those who come seeking advice and help for their business, no matter if it was financial or legal.
Being a source of information to new immigrants and confidence to those who are here on what they can do with their experience.
Their Company is also looking towards what they could do to promote Canadian education to those who want to move to study in Canada and how education from overseas can be promoted in Canada.
Furthermore, their previous experience living, studying and working in various countries, like their homeland, United Kingdom and Canada, had given them hands on experience as a student, employee and today owners of their own business.
These life experience is vital to provide comparison, understanding and provide answers to newcomers, providing the truth at the same time an insight to what newcommers needs to do to succeed.
